Alchemy wasn't magic: it was the conviction that raw matter could be transcended and transmuted into gold. Code, and today AI, is exactly that.
AI generates the plausible endlessly, but the plausible is lead. What turns it into gold is you: intention, taste, judgement, emotion, the “why”. In other words, creativity — precisely what AI doesn't have.
In this keynote, we look at creativity from three angles: that of AI (how the human + AI loop really works), that of artists already creating with it (Anadol, Chung, Klingemann…), and that of researchers (what happens to our brain when we delegate to the machine too early?). Then, the practical part: how to train, like a muscle, the creativity that AI will never transmute for you.
An invitation to students to become proud alchemists, not replaceable executors.
