Storybook 11: splitting the inner and outer loop

Générer des composants avec un agent, c'est facile. Savoir lesquels merger, beaucoup moins. Storybook 11 s'attaque au second problème.

Présentée par

Modern UI work happens in two loops.

The inner loop is where developers and agents iterate: generate code, update stories, run checks, fix failures, and repeat fast, local, and intentionally imperfect. The outer loop is where teams decide what ships: async visual review, teamwork, QA signals, and release confidence.

Storybook 11 is our late‑2026 release that tightens the inner loop for agentic UI development and makes its output legible to the outer loop. In this talk, we’ll show the workflow end‑to‑end: how Storybook becomes the place where agents can iterate with developer’s feedback, and how Chromatic turns that work into durable review and approval.

We’ll connect three bets into one coherent system: MCP + skills as the interoperability layer for agents across frameworks and a “review‑ready” pipeline that carries context and intent from local iteration into visual review.

You’ll leave with a concrete picture of what “holistic” looks like in practice: less glue work, faster iteration, and higher-confidence merges without asking humans to trust agents blindly.
